Knut Hoffmann

 

 

I was born on June 15th 1962 in Hannover in the northern part of germany. After high school degree I first studied philosophy and history, but I had to break up for civil service, which I fullfilled in a service for people with pysical handicap. Afterwards I studied medicine in Göttingen and Hannover and started psychiatric training in 1991. After consultancy for psychiartie I’ve been working as vice head physician of the department of social psychiatry at Asklepios Hospital Göttingen (www.asklepios.com). Later on I achieved the speciality for forensic psychiatry and psychotherapy.

Since 1996 I’am responsible as a senior physician for a special ward for people with intellecual disabillity and an acute psychiaitric disorder.
