M.D. Psychiatrist and psychotherapist. Elected to the EAMHID Executive Committee in 2009. He is professional head of the psychiatric services for people with Intellectual Disability for ODA Diacceto of Florence (Italy) and member of the executive committee of the Italian Society for the study of Mental Retardation.
He works as psychopharmacological expert for the Fondation Autisme Luxembourg, Sector specialist and Lead Auditor EN ISO 9001:2008 for DASA Rägister, teacher for the University of Florence, Department of Psychiatric and Neurological sciences, Department of Odontostomatology and Tuscany School of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences, psychiatricconsultant for many ID Family associations and services,vice-President of AIPPC Tuscany section, member of the equipe for the program Obessive Compulsive Disorders, Compulsive/impulsive behaviours- Autism, University of Florence, winner of the Italian ASP prize for the most interesting original work on disability published in 2005, reviewer for the World Journal of Pediatrics and for the Journal of Psychopharmacology.
Author of many national and international publications and books in the field of Intellectual Disability, author for Cambridge University Press, Erickson and Dehoniane editors and teacher for many regional, national and European courses for the promotion of mental health for people with intellectual disability and ID professional training. |
